Terms and Conditions
1.The Member acknowledges that, in order to safeguard the safety and interests of its members, CHAMP 24 FITNESS will operate in accordance with the rules and regulations it has established, and agrees to abide by such rules and regulations, as well as any rules and regulations subsequently made and published by CHAMP 24 FITNESS from time to time. Such rules and regulations shall be incorporated into this Agreement by reference from time to time. CHAMP 24 FITNESS reserves the sole and absolute discretion to adjust its facilities, equipment, opening hours, services, regulations and policies from time to time without prior notice. The Member agrees to accept such reasonable changes as one of the conditions of using the membership.
2.The Member acknowledges that:
a) Under no circumstances may a Member move any fitness equipment or use any equipment in a manner not authorised by CHAMP 24 FITNESS;
b) Members must wipe down all equipment used after each use, using the tools provided by CHAMP 24 FITNESS;
c) This membership is for the Member’s use only and may not be used to grant entry to any other person. If a Member is found to be in breach of this provision, CHAMP 24 FITNESS shall have the right to terminate the membership immediately and to charge the Member a penalty equivalent to one month’s membership fee as set out in the fee schedule applicable at the time (whichever is higher);
d) Members must not misuse equipment and should use equipment only in accordance with the guidelines displayed within the facility;
e) Members must be at least 18 years of age, unless otherwise permitted by CHAMP 24 FITNESS;
f) Members shall conduct themselves in a quiet and well-mannered fashion and shall avoid causing any disturbance that may affect other members’ use of the facilities. No profane or obscene language and/or behaviour will be tolerated. Any conduct which, in the sole discretion of CHAMP 24 FITNESS, is deemed offensive, or liable to harm, endanger or abuse others, will not be tolerated and shall constitute grounds for CHAMP 24 FITNESS to terminate the Member’s membership;
g) CHAMP 24 FITNESS shall not be responsible for any lost or stolen items;
h) Members should not occupy any equipment for an extended period and should allow others waiting to use the equipment to take turns; and
i) The indoor environment of the facility is controlled by CHAMP 24 FITNESS to ensure that the majority of members can train in the most suitable conditions. Members should not adjust, or request the adjustment of, any environmental controls, and should not open any doors or windows within the facility for any reason.
3.The consumption of alcohol, the use of drugs (including steroids) and smoking are strictly prohibited within the facility. Members agree not to use the facilities or participate in any CHAMP 24 FITNESS activity while under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medication that may impair their ability to operate equipment. Weapons of any kind are strictly prohibited. Photography, filming, video recording and audio recording within the facility are strictly prohibited unless prior permission has been obtained from CHAMP 24 FITNESS management. CHAMP 24 FITNESS reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to regulate the consumption of food or beverages, or the use of external equipment, within the facility. Gambling and gaming are strictly prohibited within the facility or the centre.
4.CHAMP 24 FITNESS requires members to wear appropriate clothing and footwear within the facility. Appropriate clothing includes gym shorts, T-shirts, running attire, stretching attire and sportswear. Street clothing and jeans are not considered appropriate attire. Street clothing and black leather shoes are strictly prohibited within the facility.
5.CHAMP 24 FITNESS may update its facility usage policies and guidelines from time to time. In the event of any such update, a notice will be displayed on its website to inform members of any material changes to the relevant usage policies and guidelines.
6.The Member agrees and acknowledges that any pre-existing condition, difficulty and/or disability may prevent the Member from fully using and/or enjoying the facilities and/or services provided by CHAMP 24 FITNESS under this Agreement, and that the Member shall nonetheless remain liable to pay in full the membership and other related fees under this Agreement. Under no circumstances shall CHAMP 24 FITNESS refund to the Member any fees already paid by the Member under this Agreement.
7. Adverse Weather Arrangements
a) All services operate as usual under Typhoon Signal No. 3 or below, and Amber or Red Rainstorm Warnings.
b) When Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above, or the Black Rainstorm Warning is in force, the gym remains open 24 hours. Members may attend at their own discretion; however, no staff will be on duty. Members should prioritise their personal safety at all times.
c) During the above warnings, all group classes are cancelled immediately and any deducted credits will be automatically refunded to the member’s account. If the warning is cancelled 2 hours before a class begins, the class will proceed as scheduled. If a warning is issued during a class, the class will end immediately.
d) During the above warnings, on-site staff services are suspended. Enquiries may be made via WhatsApp.
e) The latest arrangements will be announced on the Centre’s website and on our Facebook and Instagram pages.
